City Institute started as a private college in 1997 and has developed progressively. Currently we are providing educational and training opportunities for more than 300 students local as well as foreign students. City Institute student population has a distinctive cosmopolitan character. Examples of foreign nationalities include those from China, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Iraq and Yemen. It provides opportunities for international social interaction among the international students. At the College, students get the guidance to enable them to continue or transfer seamlessly to degree programs locally or at institutions of higher learning overseas.

City Institute currently offers a diploma course in Business Management and Entrepreneurship (BME) that consists of a course of training that is practical and action-oriented. Our syllabus and practical training is focused on the student's ability for enterprise and principle development skills. Other areas that are also taught are self-management, communication and problem solving skills and strategies. Integrated and holistic learning materials along with case studies have been structured into the course in order to optimize learning. This will enable the student to meet with challenges of the dynamic business environment in the global context. The graduating class of students can look forward to opportunities for further business and study benefits when they begin their career.

City Institute also offers Diploma in International Hotel & Tourism Management program for those pursuing management skills and technical knowledge to be employed successfully in the hotel and tourism industry. The rapid world development in sophisticated technology and the demand for more English language usage inevitably has made strong demands for well-trained and qualified people in operational, supervisory and management levels of the hospitality and tourism industry.

We also specialize in corporate training. We have the experience of closing many corporate clients training in the past and we focused on helping various organization and companies to make use of their HRDC funds allocated for training. We have more than 50 training programs to suit your needs.

Besides the diploma programs, we have the Executive Diploma, Degree, Masters and Doctorate Programs conducted on an on-line distance learning mode for adult learners.
